3D Printing Terms and Conditions
3D Printing Terms and Conditions explain how PrintNests3D supplies ready-made 3D printed products, custom 3D printing services and personalised manufacturing projects to customers in the United Kingdom. These terms cover orders, payments, submitted design files, production, delivery, returns, intellectual property, customer responsibilities and your legal rights.
Please read these 3D Printing Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order or requesting a custom project from PrintNests3D.
About Our 3D Printing Terms and Conditions
These 3D Printing Terms and Conditions form the agreement between PrintNests3D and customers purchasing products or services through our website or arranging a custom 3D printing project with us.
PrintNests3D is a UK-based provider of ready-made 3D printed products, custom 3D printing, personalised products and related design and manufacturing services.
References to “PrintNests3D,” “we,” “us” or “our” mean PrintNests3D. References to “you” or “your” mean the customer, website visitor or person placing an order with us.
Our 3D Printing Terms and Conditions apply to:
- Ready-made 3D printed products purchased through the PrintNests3D website
- Custom 3D printing projects and quotations
- Personalised or made-to-order 3D printed products
- Customer-supplied STL, OBJ, 3MF and compatible design files
- Other design or manufacturing services agreed between you and PrintNests3D
By placing an order, you confirm that the information supplied to PrintNests3D is accurate and that you are legally capable of entering into the relevant transaction.
3D Printing Terms and Conditions for Products and Services
PrintNests3D provides both standard products and bespoke 3D printing services. The materials, manufacturing method, dimensions, colour, finish and other specifications may vary depending on the product or custom project.
Customers who require bespoke manufacturing can review our Custom 3D Printing UK service for more information about how custom projects are handled.
Custom 3D Printing Terms and Conditions for Project Information
When requesting a custom product, we may ask you to provide sufficient information to understand, assess and manufacture the requested item.
- STL, OBJ, 3MF or another suitable file
- Accurate measurements and dimensions
- Reference drawings or photographs
- Material and colour preferences
- Required quantity
- Information about the intended use of the finished product
3D printing is a layer-based manufacturing process. Small layer lines, minor texture differences, material variations and slight surface differences can occur during normal production.
These characteristics do not automatically mean that a product is defective where the finished item complies with the agreed specification and applicable consumer requirements.
Orders, Quotations and Payments
All orders submitted to PrintNests3D are subject to availability and acceptance. Prices displayed on our website are shown in pounds sterling (GBP), with applicable taxes included where required.
Website orders must be paid using the payment options made available during checkout. Custom orders may be handled using another payment method expressly agreed between the customer and PrintNests3D.
Custom Project Approval
For custom 3D printing orders, we may review your files, dimensions, reference material and project specifications before confirming manufacturing.
- The required specification has been agreed
- The quotation has been accepted
- Required project files have been supplied
- Applicable payment requirements are complete
We may decline an order where manufacturing is not reasonably possible, necessary information is missing, payment cannot be completed, the project could breach applicable law or the requested item presents a significant production or safety concern.
Customer-Supplied Files and Custom 3D Printing
When supplying a digital design, STL file, OBJ file, 3MF file, drawing, photograph, logo or other material, you confirm that you own the relevant rights or have permission to use the material for the requested project.
Customers are responsible for supplying accurate dimensions, specifications and other information that materially affects the finished product.
PrintNests3D may provide general advice regarding printability, materials, dimensions and manufacturing options. Unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing, you remain responsible for determining whether a custom product is suitable for its intended application.
Products intended for medical, engineering, structural, electrical, food-contact, safety-critical or otherwise regulated applications should not be assumed to meet the requirements of those uses unless expressly confirmed in writing.
If you need assistance before submitting a custom project, visit our 3D Printing Support UK page.
Delivery Under Our 3D Printing Terms and Conditions
We aim to manufacture and dispatch products within the timeframe shown on the relevant product page, checkout, quotation or order confirmation.
Delivery estimates can be affected by manufacturing complexity, order quantity, material availability, courier performance, delivery address and circumstances outside our reasonable control.
- Order complexity and print duration
- Quantity of items ordered
- Material or colour availability
- Courier delays or disruption
- Delivery location
Customers are responsible for supplying an accurate delivery address. If you discover a mistake after placing your order, please contact PrintNests3D support as soon as possible.
Returns, Refunds and Faulty 3D Printed Products
Returns and refunds are handled in accordance with our PrintNests3D Return & Refund Policy . That policy should be read together with these 3D Printing Terms and Conditions.
Where a standard product qualifies for return, the item should normally remain unused, undamaged and in its original condition. Original packaging should also be retained where reasonably possible.
Custom and Personalised Products
Products manufactured specifically according to customer measurements, supplied files, personalised specifications or an individual design may not qualify for standard change-of-mind returns.
This does not remove rights that may apply where goods are faulty, incorrectly supplied or fail to comply with applicable consumer law.
If a product is damaged, faulty or materially different from what was agreed, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so the matter can be assessed.
Intellectual Property and 3D Printing Terms and Conditions
Unless otherwise stated, original content, photography, graphics, branding and designs owned by PrintNests3D remain the intellectual property of PrintNests3D or the applicable rights holder.
Such material must not be copied, republished, distributed or commercially exploited without the appropriate permission.
If you supply a design or digital file for custom manufacturing, ownership of intellectual property that already belongs to you remains with you.
Third-Party Intellectual Property
Customers must not ask PrintNests3D to manufacture products that unlawfully reproduce or infringe:
- Copyrighted characters
- Protected artwork
- Registered trademarks
- Protected designs
- Patented products
- Logos or other intellectual property that you do not have permission to use
PrintNests3D reserves the right to refuse a project where we reasonably believe manufacturing the requested item could infringe third-party rights.
